Meet our Governors

Our Governing Body

The Governing Body is a committed and enthusiastic team dedicated to ensuring that Datchet St. Mary’s CE Primary School continues to provide a high-quality education for all pupils.

Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, governors provide strategic leadership and oversight. They help shape the school’s vision, values and priorities, while holding leaders to account for educational standards, pupil outcomes and the effective use of resources.

As an academy within the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust (ODST), the Local Governing Body (LGB) has delegated responsibilities from the Trust in relation to the school. The LGB meets once each term, supported by its Standards, Resources, Admissions and Personnel committees.

Governors have specific areas of responsibility, including Safeguarding and SEND, and act as Link Governors for curriculum subjects. Through meetings, school visits, audits, surveys and engagement with staff, pupils and parents, governors monitor the school's progress against its strategic priorities and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, particularly safeguarding.

If you would like to contact the Governing Body, please use the contact form below or telephone the school office.
