Numbers 4 and 5

  • Identifying the numbers 4 and 5.
  • Subitising to the amount of 5 using dot plates.
  • One more and one less- block staircase.
  • Composition of 4 and 5. " I can see 3 and 2 and that makes 5"
  • Stem sentences= "3 is a part and 2 is a part and the whole is 5".
  • Exploring numicon- how we can join parts together to make a number.

  • Finishing the stem sentence- I know its a triangle because it has 3 sides and 3 corners. I know its a circle because it is round.

Let’s explore space-Planetarium Show

The children had a good introduction into space through an immersive experience. The children will learn more about space in Spring.

This week the children had fun matching socks, fish and monsters. They played turn taking games to see who could find the most matches.

Pete the Cat: Rocking in my school shoes

 

A brilliant story that introduces the children to school life with a catchy tune. The children loved Pete and enjoyed painting, drawing, cutting and modelling him.
