Class News Letters
We have used our stitching skills to create a running stitch and cross stitch on some fabulous Egyptian Collars! We even attached more fabric to look like jewels using 'applique' techniques.
This week we had our Christmas Exhibition teaching us more about the Christmas story and we started getting festive during our Christmas Fair!
We've had such a wonderful day travelling back in time and becoming Ancient Egyptians! We learnt more about mummification and followed the steps to mummify some tomatoes, we tried writing our names in hieroglyphic (it was tricky) and even made our own flatbreads to enjoy an Egyptian feast!
Today we found out about the belongings that Ancient Egyptians were buried with so they could take them to the afterlife!
This term we have been having a go at still life drawings and thinking about how to add form (to make it look 3D) by using tone (light, mid and dark shades). Take a look at our pears! Can you see where the highlight and shadow areas are?
We had a fantastic day exploring the Stone Age & Iron Age at Chiltern Open Air Museum!
Today we learnt all about Stonehenge and the mystery behind it!! See if we can point out the henge, horseshoe, trilithon
Today we recreated a computer network, including a network switch and server! Ask us to find out the job of a network switch and a computer server!
For Science, we have been learning all about the human body! This week, we have been learning about the human skeleton so we labelled some of the bones in our bodies! Ask us about which the longest bone in our body is!!
